Privacy Policy

Go Birds is a private app for one group of friends who watch Philadelphia Eagles games together. It is not a commercial service, it has no advertising, and it is not open to the public. You can only get in with a group password or a personal invite link.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are used only to send you the reminders you asked for, and are never shared with anyone outside the service providers listed below who deliver those messages on our behalf.

What we collect

Only what the app needs to run a watch party:

  • The name you choose. Shown to everyone else in the group.
  • Your phone number and/or email — optional. Only if you enter one. Used to send reminders and nothing else. You can leave both blank and the app still works.
  • What you post. RSVPs, the dish you're bringing, chat messages, and any photos you upload.
  • A sign-in cookie. One cookie that keeps you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics.
  • Google account details — admins only. Admins sign in with Google. We receive your Google account ID, email address, name, and profile picture. Regular members never use Google.

Text messages

You only receive texts if you enter your phone number and turn on Text me on your profile. Nothing is sent to you before that.

  • What we send. An RSVP reminder one to three days before a watch party, and a reminder the morning of the game with the kickoff time, the host's address, and what people are bringing.
  • How often. Roughly two messages per game during the season — a few per week at most. There are no marketing messages, ever.
  • Stopping them. Reply STOP to any message, or switch off "Text me" on your profile in the app. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

Who processes your data

The app runs on a handful of providers, who process this information only in order to operate the app on our behalf:

  • Vercel. Hosts the website (United States).
  • Supabase. Hosts the database where your name, contact details, and posts are stored (United States).
  • Twilio. Delivers text messages, if you have opted in.
  • Resend. Delivers email reminders, if you have opted in.
  • Google. Verifies admin sign-ins.

Photos

Photos posted in the chat are stored at long, randomly generated web addresses. They are not listed or indexed anywhere, but anyone who has the exact link can open it without signing in. Please keep that in mind before posting something sensitive.

How long we keep it

For as long as the group is running. Ask the host to delete your account and we will remove your profile, RSVPs, dishes, messages, and photos.

Children

This app is intended for the adults in our group. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
